September has had AliMacDesignsUk at the famous Wirksworth Festival. What a crackin' event!

 That was followed by the warm and friendly Sheffield Ceramics Festival in Meersbrook Walled Garden, Sheffield. A great gathering of regional talented potters in the unique surroundings of the walled garden run by volunteers. www.meersbrookpark.co.uk/walled-garden/ I just love this place: Sheffield at its best with a hint of retro romance.

Sunshine! I am photographing my recent makes in the glorious sunshine to bring out the vibrant colour and design of these lovely aprons. They just pop with energy! These will be on sale at the   www.earthandfire.co.uk/ Earth and Fire Ceramic Festival at the Harley Gallery, Welbeck, North Nottinghamshire over 3 days, 21st to 23rd June this year. 
I have been making some new gardening aprons using either waterproof backing or linen and of course, the quirky and vibrant African prints. These will be £20 and an ideal summer present.

 This new year has brought great joy, welcoming my first grandson into the world. Here he is only 3 weeks old visiting the legendary Grindleford Cafe, Derbyshire. I think he is eyeing up the enormous chip butty and pint of tea I've got lined up.

The sun shone and we had a wonderful time meeting great potters and so many nice people who share an interest in all things pottery! And we sold AliMac aprons to such a range of people for all their creative endeavours. Britain is alive with creative energy.
And a big thank you to my lovely Mac for all his help, support and enthusiasm! We had 3 great days.
