This year starts well with 60 Etsy sales and twelve 5* reviews! All quite remarkable as I stumbled into this through the collision of change, chance and opportunity. Evidently, I am an 'older-preneur' and I wear the badge with amused pride.
Anyway, the hot news is I have 'start-up' trader stall at the International Earth and Fire Ceramics Fair on 22nd -24th June at Wellbeck, Notts, UK. www.earthandfire.co.uk/ This is very exciting and I am very honoured. On 8th and 9th September I will be at the Pots and Food Festival at Wardlow Mires, Derbyshire which is a fabulous collection of potters and culinary creatives selected by Pat Fuller. It is such a warm and uplifting gathering of people in the heart of the country - a grand day out. Check it out and hope to see you there! www.potsandfood.co.uk/
And here's a picture of the latest AliMacdesignsUK. It's snowing outside but I hope you are cosy and enjoying the New Year!
Thank you for stopping by!
This has been an year of transformation - setting up as an Etsy trader. From June to date my AliMacDesignsUK site on Etsy has had 1,464 visits with 4,519 page views resulting in 47 order of over 50 products. Recent purchases have been Scotland, New York, Belgium and the Netherlands.
I have had some good conversations across the Etsy-sphere and feel connected to fellow fabric connoisseurs and creatives across the globe. Over the holiday break I will be thinking through and making a BESPOKE reversible apron for a client 'across the water'. I will enjoy putting that unique piece together knowing it is going to a good home!
Have a lovely Christmas.

For £5 you can have your apron wrapped in a Christmassy TEA TOWEL and cellophane!

It's exciting to connect with people around the world who share a passion and excitement about vibrant fabric. Wearing this energising fabric makes you feel creative - be it in the kitchen, studio or workshop! AliMac has reached Japan, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Vouvray, en France!
On the 9th September at Wardlow Mires, Derbyshire we braved the lash of the rain and spatter of mud to enjoy the first ever AliMacDesigns stall at the www.potsandfood.co.uk/ festival. It was great! So many gifted potters and a family vibe: a truly unique connection of creative people.
Getting a poster together to advertise my wares to potters and creatives across Sheffield starting with the Art House Sheffield www.arthousesheffield.co.uk/ and Yorskshire Art Space www.artspace.org.uk/
Laminating could be my new hobby and getting the fabric to spark out looks eye-catching. It is a great way to show off the variety of vibrant fabrics which turn into craft or pottery aprons. There are tablecloths too and more ideas under development. Why not give me some ideas via the Comments box? Ax
Here goes, gentle reader! Thank you for getting this far in my website - you must be a true fabric nut or pottery aficionado to be reading this.
Developing my website has been both a challenge and fun. It all started with the Google Digital Garage in Sheffield city centre. I accessed workshops and mentoring sessions to bring myself up to speed on all things digital. learndigital.withgoogle.com/digitalgarage

Today I want to share with you a wonderful picture of Laura Manners of www.lauramanners.com who is sporting one of my early creations: a split skirt apron in African wax print. It's a terrific image- thank you so much Laura for your custom and encouragement.
